Maan Tila is a quintet from Helsinki.<\/p>\n

The band, led by vibraphonist \/ composer Mikko Antila, consists of a warm combination of trumpet and tenor saxophone combined with a light, piano-free rhythm section. The timbre of the quintet is rich, bright and vibrant.<\/p>\n

\u201cI try to compose every day,\u201d Antila says. “Or I usually compose anyway, whether I like it or not. I work off the emotions I experience every day into music. I feel that in this way I can turn negative feelings in particular into positive ones by first pouring them into melodies and melodies again to be interpreted by musicians and heard by listeners. Each composition has its own beautiful moment where it is created. I always try to tell it to the members of the band, and the interpretation of the quintet is based on it.”<\/p>\n
