Katu Kaiku<\/h2>\n

Founded in 2013, Katu Kaiku is part of the European crossover jazz continuum, represented by bands such as The Cinematic Orchestra, Portico Quartet and Jaga Jazzist. The trio’s third album “Broken Piece” will be released in November 2022 via Eclipse Music. The album continues the style formed with the previous album Luna (Svart Records 2019), which combines lyrical saxophone melodies, guitar-like electric bass playing and strong communication in improvisation. The third album is also looking for something new and it plays with tempo genres and combines rock influences with jazz.<\/p>\n

The group has gained international recognition, especially with the large Luna album release tour of 2019, when there were performances in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Holland, Germany, Latvia and Estonia in addition to Finland.<\/p>\n

Previous achievements of the band include performing in Amsterdam at the 12 Points festival, Flow Festival in Helsinki 2019 and representing Finland at the Young Nordic Jazz Comets showcase in 2015.<\/p>\n
