These past years he has delved into the world of big band music, which has left its mark on his nuanced and intricately crafted arrangements.<\/p>\n<p>The group &#8211; assembled from young greats &#8211; approaches the music with a playfulness that strikes a balance with its mournful and introspective musical language. Siirtola has been recognized as a rising talent for his efforts as a bassist and composer.
