I dem kombineras melankoliska, l\u00e5nga melodier med dystert okynne och skarpa dissonanser. Siirtola h\u00e4mtar sin inspiration fr\u00e5n nordisk minimalism s\u00e5v\u00e4l som fr\u00e5n det rika kontinuum av afroamerikansk musiktradition. P\u00e5 senare \u00e5r har han ocks\u00e5 vuxit fram som en sj\u00e4lvst\u00e4ndig storbandskomposit\u00f6r och arrang\u00f6r, d\u00e5 bland annat UMO Helsinki Jazz Orchestra och Sointi Jazz Orchestra har framf\u00f6rt hans verk. Passionen f\u00f6r st\u00f6rre ensemblers m\u00f6jligheter finns ocks\u00e5 i S\u00e9ances nyanserade och slingrande arrangemang, som utnyttjar ensemblens hela tonala palett.<\/p>\n<p>Sammans\u00e4ttningen, som best\u00e5r av unga toppmusiker, n\u00e4rmar sig l\u00e5tarna med kastande lekfullhet, vilket skapar en motvikt till deras vemodiga och introspektiva tonspr\u00e5k.
