Den Helsingforsbaserade pianisten och komposit\u00f6ren Toomas Keski-S\u00e4ntti spelade in sitt debutalbum Unearth under sin tid i New York. Albumet, som gavs ut i mars 2025 av det spanska skivbolaget Fresh Sound, presenterar den prisbel\u00f6nte pianisten f\u00f6r f\u00f6rsta g\u00e5ngen som bandledare.<\/p>\n

F\u00f6r att tolka musiken p\u00e5 albumet samlade Keski-S\u00e4ntti ett band best\u00e5ende av toppmusiker fr\u00e5n den finska jazzscenen. Under denna konsert upptr\u00e4der bandet som trio och framf\u00f6r b\u00e5de stycken fr\u00e5n Unearth och nyare kompositioner. Trummisen Teppo M\u00e4kynen och kontrabasisten Joonas Tuuri har l\u00e4nge varit Keski-S\u00e4nttis musikaliska f\u00f6ljeslagare.<\/p>\n

I Keski-S\u00e4nttis starka kompositioner m\u00f6ts storstadens energi och nordisk klarhet p\u00e5 ett fascinerande s\u00e4tt. Gruppens dynamik k\u00e4nnetecknas av varje musikers j\u00e4mlika m\u00f6jlighet att f\u00f6ra musiken i of\u00f6rutsedda riktningar.<\/p>\n

Keski-S\u00e4ntti \u00e4r k\u00e4nd fr\u00e5n flera av den finl\u00e4ndska jazzens fr\u00e4msta ensembler, d\u00e4ribland OK:KO, Jukka Perko PreBoppers och Selma Savolainen Horror Vacui \u2013 som bel\u00f6nades med en Jazz-Emma ifjol. Han har upptr\u00e4tt flitigt p\u00e5 klubbar och festivaler runt om i Europa samt i New York.<\/p>\n
