Tv\u00e5 legender inom finl\u00e4ndsk jazz i jubileumskonsert p\u00e5 Savoy-teatterin<\/p>\n

Saxofonisten och komposit\u00f6ren Eero Koivistoinen<\/strong> och trumslagaren Reino \u201dReiska\u201d Laine<\/strong>, som firar sina 80-\u00e5rsdagar, h\u00f6r till pionj\u00e4rerna inom finl\u00e4ndsk jazz. De aktivt turnerande musikerna firar sina l\u00e5nga och m\u00e5ngsidiga karri\u00e4rer med en konsert p\u00e5 Savoy-teatern den 28 oktober.<\/p>\n

Under konsertens f\u00f6rsta del h\u00f6rs Reiska Laines sextett<\/strong>, d\u00e4r f\u00f6rutom Koivistoinen och Laine \u00e4ven Jari Perki\u00f6m\u00e4ki<\/strong> (saxofon), Mikko \u201dGunu\u201d Karjalainen<\/strong> (trumpet), Olli Ahvenlahti<\/strong> (piano) och Filemon von Numers<\/strong> (kontrabas) st\u00e5r p\u00e5 scen. Programmet inneh\u00e5ller Koivistoinens egna verk samt kompositioner av jazzens stora m\u00e4stare, s\u00e5som Miles Davis<\/strong> och John Coltrane<\/strong> \u2013 samtidigt som deras 100-\u00e5rsjubileer uppm\u00e4rksammas.<\/p>\n

Efter pausen fylls scenen av Sibelius-Akademins Big Band<\/strong> under ledning av Bianca Rantala<\/strong>. Tillsammans med Eero Koivistoinen tolkar ensemblen hans kompositioner fr\u00e5n olika decennier samt hans arrangemang av John Coltranes klassiker Equinox.<\/p>\n
