Raoul Björkenheim solo

During his musical career spanning four decades, Raoul Björkenheim has explored diverse musical sources with his guitar playing, and has focused on projects ranging from the duo collaboration with the legendary Juhani Aaltonen to the free jazz nonet performed with four Senegalese drummers. Critics have compared his playing to a force of nature and he has appeared on more than fifty recordings. In 2023, Music Archive Finland awarded him the Jazz Legend title. In his solo performance, Björkenheim presents new music that reflects his expressionist lyricism.
