Singer Anni Elif (b.1986) and pianist Seppo Kantonen (b.1963) are two uncompromising lone wolfs. The artists’ first musical encounter took place at the Pori Jazz Festival in 2017, when the idea for the duo was also born. The duo’s compositions have been inspired by poetry, and the concert features vocals in both Finnish and Swedish. Wordless vocals and improvisation also play a big role. The creative duo is adventuring in a world of abundant sound textures, where sensitivity and intensity shake hands.
